3:00-4:30pm: FREE Fencing lessons and demonstrations:
Group fencing lessons will begin on the 1/2 hour and are appropriate for ages 6+. While you're waiting to try it for yourself, BFC athletes will be demonstrating fencing matches and answering questions about the sport! There will also be refreshments in our lounge to enjoy during the open house.
4:30-6:00pm: Q & A and autographs with 3x Olympian Dagmara Wozniak:
Dagmara Wozniak is a three time Olympian and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist. As a saber fencer at St. John’s University, she earned All-America honors four times and finished third at the NCAA Championships twice. She spent 17 years on the U.S. National Team. Dagmara was born in Poland and grew up in New Jersey. She now lives in Boston and serves as an assistant fencing coach at Harvard University. Dagmara also continues to support team USA Fencing, and this summer, she is part of the USA Fencing delegation at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as the Team Captain. An advocate for positive mind and body, Dagmara is passionate about helping young people navigate through the world of athletics with a healthy mindset.
